Singer–songwriter, recording artist and multi-instrumentalist, Queensland-based Mitch King, has released his second album, Power in Your Hands.

The album's title track is about the way rage and anger can take over your mood and affect your well being. “The song is a reminder that by becoming aware of those emotions, you can stay grounded and take back control, the power is in your hands,” says Mitch.

Mitch says the album is a “collection of songs written over the past couple of years that reflect on life, resilience, and optimism. I often try to see the cup as half full and a bunch of these songs carry that spirit. It was a good time working with producer Blake Malone again and also with Jared Adlam for the first time. I’m super grateful for what they both brought to the album. The music explores new sonic areas while staying true to my roots, weaving blues, roots and folk with touches of alt-rock and country. I’m really stoked with how it's come together.”
