Written by Sandee, Michael Saleta and Moe Loughran in a Nashville co-write, the song is about the empowerment of a woman who wants to break the chain of generational domestic abuse.

With grit, grace, and a whole lot of heart, Working Girl follows a woman hitting the road, literally and figuratively, with her baby in the backseat and a new future on the horizon. It’s about strength, survival, and knowing when to let go.

“I hope Working Girl reaches someone who needs to hear the message. It’s a song about strength and resilience and leaving behind a past that isn’t serving you. Heavy topic and so relevant,” says Melbourne-based country artist Sandee.

Originally from a small Michigan town, Sandee has called Australia home for nearly two decades. Her transpacific journey infuses her music with a unique blend of Nashville grit and Aussie heart.
